Vivaldi: The Four Seasons

Sir Neville Marriner's celebrated 1969 recording of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons with Alan Loveday and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields was among the most successful and influential recordings in the ensemble's history. Recorded at St John's, Smith Square for Argo, it remains admired for its freshness, elegance and musical vitality, qualities that helped redefine the performance of Baroque repertoire for a generation.

For this release, the original ¼-inch, two-track stereo tapes have been mastered by Rainer Maillard and cut by Sidney C. Meyer at Emil Berliner Studios.
